Seifukujitsu (Energy release massage)
This massage technique is a Japanese practice traditionally performed to relax and restore the mind and body to a healthy state. This works along energy channels or chi channels through the body.
There are certain routes through our bodies where there is a greater concentration of neuro pathways through which different parts of us are energetically inter-connected. These pathways can become blocked, in much the same way as a river might become dammed, restricting the flow of water. This technique releases such blockages and thereby returns the body to a more natural state of energetic equilibrium.
This technique is also applied to release build up of toxins in the body. The effect of this is a reduction of acidity and tension in soft tissues and an increase in the flow of the circulatory and lymphatic systems, restoring the body to a healthy natural state of physical and mental balance and relaxation.
