Vision Board Workshops A Video Testimonial (opens in a new window) Why Should You Have A Vision Board? A vision board is a simple yet powerful visualization tool that activates manifesting your dreams into reality. The concept of the vision board (also known as a goal board) has been around for generations, but it’s gained a renewed interest and popularity after success expert John Assaraf related his story of using vision boards to achieve his dreams in the best-selling DVD documentary The Secret. Having an activated Vision Board will show you what the most important wishes you have for your life are- and they aren’t always what you think they are! This is so important to find out as it will explain the decisions and choices you have made in your life so far, and maybe why you feel that your current life is not satisfying to you. A Vision Board will clarify the directions you want your life to take, and provide you with a confident focus and ability to “see” yourself in that life right now so that you can start to enjoy it right now. ‘The mere sight of your vision board should make you happy and fuel your passion.’ What Is A Vision Board? Another benefit is that instead of having all your goals and desires in a complicated and unorganised mess in your mind, a vision board enables you to physically see them. Vision boards unfortunately won’t work for someone if they make the mistake of beginning a board without first connecting to their inner wisdom. The result is a board filled with images and words that aren’t aligned to their authentic desires, what it is they truly want in life, rather than what they think, for example, their parents would want for them. Coming to a workshop will identify for you what your true desires are. The purpose of a vision board is to begin to pull things from your external environment that will enable you to realize your dream. By selecting pictures and writing that charges your emotions with feelings of passion, you will begin to bring those things into your life. How To Activate A Vision Board Famous People You Know Who Have A Vision Board As Oprah Winfrey states, "The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams." For Arnold Schwarzenegger, five time Mr. Universe, four-time Mr. Olympia has not only used visualization for athletic success but also credits it for his success as a movie star:"When I was very young I visualized myself being and having what it was I wanted. Mentally I never had any doubts about it. The mind is really so incredible. Before I won my first Mr. Universe title, I walked around the tournament like I owned it. The titles was already mine. I had won it so many times in my mind that there was no doubt I would win it. Then when I moved on to the movies, the same thing. I visualized myself being a famous actor and earning big money. I could feel and taste success. I just knew it would all happen."Visualization can practically replace physical practice. Arnold Schwarzenegger used the power of his imagination to become Mr. Olympia 6 times, to become a movie superstar, to become a successful business man, and to become governor of California. There is John Assaraf's tale of how he ended up living in his dream home in La Jolla, California - the very home he had cut out from Dream Homes magazine years earlier. Olympic champions Carl Lewis and Greg Louganis used visualization to great success. Lewis, a track and field athlete who won 10 Olympic medals (9 of them gold), says that he always visualized himself winning the race. Louganis, a gold medallist diver, used visualization before each dive to perfect his technique. For Jim Carrey, this visualisation enabled him to live his dream: Jim Carrey’s Check. As a struggling young comedian trying to make it in the make or break city of Hollywood, Jim Carrey was just about ready to give up his dream of becoming a professional actor and comedian. He had just performed at an open mic session at one of the nightclubs in Los Angeles and had been booed off the stage by his audience. He sat by himself at the top of Mulholand Drive and looked out at the city below him—the city that held his future success or failure. He then pulled out his check book and wrote himself a check for $10 million dollars and made a note on it: “for acting services rendered.” He then carried that check with him in his wallet everywhere he went from that day forward. By 1995, after the success of his blockbuster movies: Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Dumb and Dumber, and The Mask, his contract price had risen to the price of $20 million dollars. So you can see it’s not just Hollywood celebrities that use them. Olympic athletes, television personalities, politicians and top motivational speakers have all started to share how vision boards help sustain their success. You too can share this success with your activated Vision Board. |
